We sell fun! Established in 1987 by disc golf Hall of Famer Rick Rothstein, Disc Golf World is one of the oldest disc sports companies in the game. When we first opened, we sold stuff the old fashioned way: through phone sales and our now antiquated Disc Golf World Sales Catalogue. We have since grown into the largest disc golf store in the Midwest through our online store, our brick and mortar shop in Kansas City, MO, as a regional and national wholesaler, and as the instigator and merchandiser of the Ice Bowl®—an international network of winter tournaments for charity.

Since 1988. Recently I've put the business up for sale.
What is your primary product or service?
We are a full service disc golf company that retails golf discs, bags, clothing, targets accessories, and more. Disc Golf World is wholesales discs and is a regional distributor for Innova Disc Golf, the world's leading disc golf manufacturers. We also offer disc golf course design.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I start playing Frisbee catch as a youth and also was a traditional golfer. When I discovered disc golf in the 70s, it was love at first sight.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Just the one store in Kansas City and our online store at discgolfworld.com.

We're between Locust and Cherry on the south side of 18th St. We're one block due east of Grinders.
What type of payments do you accept?
All cards, checks, cash, barter.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?

Winter Hours: M-F�10-5. Saturday�9-4. Sun Close Seasonal Hours (begins with Daylight Savings Time): M-F�10-6. Saturday�9-4. Sun: Noon-3pm
